One of the relealeases from Andrea Miniatures is on which will please painters of the Military Bust - a 1:10 scale Polish Lancer c.1807 (S9 B09) which has ben added to the company's "The Bust Collection".

Cast in polyurethane resin,with white metal details,which includes the moustache!. D.Romero is the designer and what a fine job he's made of it - everyhting's right about it and he has captured the period look perfectly. The illustration shows this far better than any words I can write.

The cast white metal plume has individual feathers, rather like those cast plumes pioneered by Poste Militaire some years ago and you wonder how they got them out of the mould. Braids, raquettes and other details are white metal and can be painted before adding to the main resin casting before final touches are added.

Thankfully the chapska peak is seperate too, allowing uninhibited access to the face for painting. An illustrated instruction sheet is provided which provides full painting informatioon and can be used in addition to the colour pictures on the box.
