The Book of the Medieval
Knight is a large soft cover book consisting of 188 pages. This book contains
a large amount of photos along with some well-done pictures and paintings.
It is made up of 12 chapters, each made up of about 4-5 subchapters and
covers the period called the High Middle Ages (which consists of the fourteenth
and fifteenth centuries)
If you are looks for info on knights from countries such as Italy or Russia
do not look here. The Book of the Medieval Knight only focuses on knights
from England and to some extent France. It does quite a good job, providing
all the info one could want on the leaders and ideas that made up the knightly
way of life. It provides good accounts of battles that made up the War of
the Roses, England’s various wars with Scotland, Henry V and his attempt
to seize the French crown among others. This book carries much more information
than its 188 pages would lead you to believe and if you’re interested in
the period, a good addition to any library.
