Hornet - WW2 US Paratrooper
A neat little figure full of an amazing amount of detail. The head is not the original but another from Robert Saunders' sets of heads. The anatomy is good and the figure has a solid feel to it. The casting was clean with only a little flash to clean off. It was one of those figures where the brush seems naturally to flow along the detail without effort making it very satisfying to paint. Given the amount of detail I painted the arms and accessories separately and added them at the end. The fit of parts was good so very little tidying up was needed after the process. The figure is painted in artists acrylics.
