The figure consists of
11 parts:
1. Torso / kilt
2. Right leg
3. Left leg
4. Right arm
5. Left arm holding rifle
6. Head including tin helmet
7. Water bottle
8. pack
9. Bayonet
10. Bayonet scabbard
11. Base
The figure again stands in a relaxed pose with arms at sides and rifle pointing
downwards. The parts are all very well detailed with items like the bayonet
very fragile. The comments about the BAR gunner's helmet also apply to the
Highlander and although initially I thought the heads for the two figures
were the same they are in fact different with the helmets posed at different
angles. There is a fairly awkward resin plug to remove at the bottom of
the kilt and the location of the plug means there are no locating holes
for the legs. However, the base does contain recesses for the two feet and
I'd recommend using this to ensure the legs line up properly. Unlike the
BAR gunner there are no problems with the base on this figure and it could
be used as it comes or as the basis for something else. There is a small
mould line down the left-hand side of the tunic and kilt / apron and mine
contained a small air hole on the left shoulder, which was filled with no
problems. A couple of small mould lines need to be removed down the inside
of the legs but the figure cleans up very well.
