The second 54mm white metal kit figure kit released by the talented Raul Garcia Latorre is an Anglo Saxon "Northumbrian Warrior of the 8th - 9th centuries AD". The figure stands on its scenic base with a spear and throwing javelin sloped across the right shoulder.
The designer has based the model on Osprey Men at Arms No154 Arthur and Anglo Saxon Warriors, plus a lot of material gleaned from 'Northumbrain' websites which are listed on the kit slip. Cast in white metal, the figure has some some finely detailed mail and lots of sharp detail. watch closely what you remove when cleaning up the castings because its easy to eradicate some fine straps on the legs which need to stay there. the helmet, common to this period has nasal and cheek guards.
In addition to spear and javelin a short or knife (scramasax) and circular shield are carried. A cast scenic base is provided and the kit parts are supplied foam wrapped in a box.
