The latest model is a
german WWII Machine-Gunner wearing a greatcoat and arned with an MG42, moulded
in kit form, in grey polystyrene plastic.
It is easy to assembleand paint and this time Tamiya have included parts
not really needed for the figure- an MP40 submachine gun and magazine pouches,
so even in this kit, the MG42 could be put on the ground supported by its
bipod and the greatcoated figure armed with a submachine gun. Breadbag,
bayonet, entrenching tool, water bottle, gas mask container, pistol holster
and a machine-gunners accessory pouch are also provided.
The MG42 is made up from four pieces with an optional opened or folded bipod
and a 50 round belt box which comprises another 3 parts. DEtail is very
good and the kit is well designed, with thegreatcoat skirts as three seperate
pieces that fold around the lower torso and legs. I'm very impressed with
these tamiya figures.
