Jager miniatures are a new name to me although I understand they have been around for a while and have released a number of WW2 sets plus a series of Scottish figures. A new WW1 range in 1/32 scale has recently been announced and the initial five releases are:

WW1.1 US BAR Gunner - Meuse Argonne 1918.
WW1.2 German in body armour 1917.
WW1.3 Highlander Somme 1916.
WW1.4 Australian light horse Beersheba Oct. 1917.
WW1.5 German Stormtrooper march 1918.

A further two figures have been announced although they are not currently available:

WW1.6 French Infantry Verdun 1916.
WW1.7 Italian Infantry.

I've recently ordered and received three of the range. The figures are all moulded in a light grey / buff resin and are a true 54mm in height and in terms of existing 54mm ranges of figures which seem to vary in height up to 65 / 70 mm are therefore on the small side. I bought my figures on the understanding that box art wouldn't be included but this was down to my impatience! All figures were packed in zip lock bags and my parcel arrived without any mishaps in the post.

All in all, three very good figures and although they do require some work in terms of cleaning up the size of the figures means this is not too onerous a task. Personally, I prefer metal figures, which I find much easier to work with but the detail on these is very fine and items such as the slouch hat have reproduced very well. All I can say is that once I've finished these I will certainly send for the rest of the figures in the series. Photographs of the figures appeared in Vol31 No 4 of Military Modelling and I understand photographs are due to appear on the web site. (www.jager.co.uk)
